Athena, the matriarch of a family of elephants, leads her herd across the unforgiving African savannah when they are forced to leave their waterhole. 1 hour, 36 minutes. This epic journey, narrated by Chiwetel Ejiofor, takes audiences across the African savannah, and into the heart of an elephant family. A tale of love, loss and coming home.

The film was produced by Lucinda Englehart under the banner of Deeble & Stone. At the 2019 Critics' Choice Movie Awards, "The Elephant Queen" was nominated for Best Science/Nature Documentary and Best Narration.
