Volunteering at Princeton Public Library - Info Session

Join us for coffee and a quick tour behind the scenes to learn how the Friends and Foundation volunteers run the bookstore and whether you might be interested in volunteering, too. Westminster Conservatory Noontime Recital, Nassau Presbyterian Church

On Thursday, Feb. 16 at 12:15 p.m. Westminster Conservatory at Nassau will present a recital of music for solo piano as performed by Westminster Conservatory faculty member Erik Allesee. The recital will take place in the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street, Princeton, New Jersey, 08542. It is open to the public free of charge; masking is optional.

The program on Feb. 16 comprises two sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti; an arrangement of My Favorite Things by Stephen Hough; The Lark, a song by Balakirev transcribed for piano solo by Glinka; Franz Liszt's Concert Etude no. 2 Gnomenreigen; Chopin's Nocturne in D-flat, op. 27, no. 2; and Rondo Capriccioso in A minor, opus 28 by Felix Mendelssohn.

Film Screening: "Murdoch Mysteries": The Movies, Princeton Public Library

Before the hit Canadian TV drama starring Yannick Bisson, "Murdoch Mysteries" was a series of made-for-TV movies with Peter Outerbridge (Orphan Black) as the police detective who solves crimes with newfangled forensic techniques. Keeley Hawes is Dr. Julia Ogden, and Colm Meane is Inspector Brackenreid starring in 3 feature-length films based on Maureen Jennings's novels. One movie from the series will be screened each week on successive Thursday afternoons at 3 p.m.

Tabletop Game Night, Princeton Public Library

6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Everyone 16 and older is invited to enjoy an evening of playing tabletop and strategy games. The library will provide several games, or you're welcome to bring your own. Join as individuals or groups.

The Community Room will have space available monthly for open play of tabletop games. Library staff will have a selection of games available that may be used at each session, or attendees may bring their own. Both individuals and groups are welcome.

Princeton Makes Talks Series - Artist Elisabeth Quatrano

On Thursday, February 16, at 7:00 pm, artist Elisabeth Quatrano will be the featured speaker for the “Inside the Artist’s Studio” talk series at Princeton Makes in the Princeton Shopping Center. Quatrano, a member of the Princeton Makes artist cooperative, employs various techniques to transform clay, food and textiles into moving works of art She will share insights about her practice and demonstrate her creative processes.

The event will begin with a reception, with light refreshments, at 6:30pm. Artwork by all cooperative artists will be available for purchase.

Wine, Cheese, Charcuterie, Crossing Vineyards & Winery

Story & Verse Open Mic: Poetry, Storytelling, and Spoken Word, Arts Council of Princeton
