Expanding Princeton’s Affordable Housing, Princeton Future @ PPL

“Expanding Princeton’s Affordable Housing,” a presentation in partnership with Princeton Future, takes place Saturday, Jan. 21, at Princeton Public Library. The event features three presentations including:

9 a.m. – “Building a Common Vocabulary of Housing Types”

10 a.m. – “Building Livable, Lovable Density”

11 a.m. – “What Can We Do Together?”

The presentations will be held in the Community Room at the library and also via Zoom. Registration is required through the library’s events calendar to receive the Zoom link. Registration is not required to attend in person.

Read & Pick Kids Program, Terhune Orchards

Terhune Orchards Read and Explore Program is our winter education series, following the popular seasonal Read and Pick Program. We will read “The Gingerbread Man” and then each child will decorate a big gingerbread man cookie to take home. Kids will be amazed at how many gingerbread man ingredients come from farms.

Winery Weekend Music Series, Terhune's

Join us for cheer in the winery to enjoy live music and meet up with family and friends. With indoor seating in our wine barn among the wine tanks and outdoor seating with firepits. Enjoy hot mulled wine, tasting flights of Terhune favorite wines, and wine by the glass. All ages can have fun with s’mores and hot cocoa kits. Light bites of cheese plates and chips & salsa baskets are available at the winery. Perfect to enjoy with a glass of wine in the sun.

Dan and Claudia Zanes Family Concert, Nassau Presbyterian Church

Discover "the gold standard in kids' music" (NPR) when Grammy Award-winning children's performer Dan Zanes and Haitian-American jazz vocalist Claudia Zanes present a fun-filled afternoon at Nassau Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 21 at 5:00 p.m. The duo will perform Dan's greatest hits as well as folk and blues classics from their popular new songbook, 'Dan Zanes House Party! A Family Roots Music Treasury." All ages are welcome to sing and dance along to this highly interactive, celebratory community concert.

In lieu of tickets, each attendee is asked to bring one food item to support Arm in Arm's Valentines for Food Drive.

ART OF Salsa and Bachata, Arts Council of Princeton

Attendees are invited to dress in their best red threads and immerse themselves in an evening of Latin Dance with instructor Mike Andino of HotSalsaHot Dance Studio and music provided by DJ Poli, one of Philly's top Latin DJs. Tickets include instruction, dance party, beer, wine, and Latin-inspired cuisine. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support smART kids, the Arts Council’s arts enrichment program for our community’s middle school students from low to moderate income families.

No Name Dance, Central Jersey Dance Society

7:00pm-8:00pm: Hustle lesson (beginner/intermediate) taught by our talented instructor Donna Boyle.

8:00pm-11:00pm: Open dancing to a great playlist of California Mix, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Night Club 2-Step, Hustle, and Latin dance music with Donna Boyle as DJ.

Location: Suzanne Patterson Center, 45 Stockton Street (for GPS, use: 1 Monument Drive), Princeton, NJ 08540. No partner needed; newbies, singles, and couples are welcome. PROOF OF FULL COVID-19 VACCINATION IS REQUIRED. VACCINATION CARDS WILL BE CHECKED. Mask wearing is optional. SANITATION STATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED. Dancers are encouraged to bring their own bottles of water. Admission: $15/adult, $10/full time student with ID.
