When the daughter of a Harlem crime lord is kidnapped by the Italian mafia, it’s up to private eye John Shaft to rescue her. Directed by master photographer Gordon Parks, and featuring an iconic soundtrack by Isaac Hayes, SHAFT was a high water mark in blaxploitation cinema. Rated R. Shaft is a product of its time and has outdated attitudes, language, and cultural depictions which may cause offense today.
