Flamenco Dance Showcase, Arts Council of Princeton

Enjoy a live Flamenco performance featuring Lisa Botalico and ACP Adult Flamenco Students! This celebration of Flamenco was directed and choreographed by Botalico, Assistant Director/Principal Dancer/Choreographer of Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre. Lisa toured the United States as Artistic Director and Principal dancer of La Compañía Folklorica Latina for the National Theatre of the Performing Arts. A much sought after teacher/choreographer, Lisa founded the ongoing Children and Adult Flamenco Dance Program at the Arts Council of Princeton in 1999.

In celebration of Black Music Month, join us for a conversation with legendary lyricist and Public Enemy cofounder Chuck D about his latest Audible Original, Songs That Shook the Planet. Combining Black musical history and personal memoir, Chuck D reintroduces listeners to the iconic artists and songs that add to the soundtrack of social change, incorporating his own reminiscences about how music influenced his early life and career.

Storm Large, Opening Concert, Princeton Festival

Versatile singer Storm Large performs Kurt Weill's The Seven Deadly Sins in the opening concert of the 2022 Princeton Festival with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra. Vocal quartet Hudson Shad serves as the chorus. Rodion Shchedrin's Carmen Suite for orchestra completes the evening. Rossen Milanov conducts. Due to the nature of the lyrics and adult topics, this performance is not appropriate for children under the age of 10.
