GROWING A GARDEN OF GOODIES

Ages 3 and Up - Tuesdays, 9:30 & 11:00 a.m.

Introduce your young child to the fun of the farm with this innovative program. This unique program combines a hands-on farm activity with listening to a story highlighting a fruit or farm area. Each session starts with an educational program that includes reading stories and discussing how crops are grown or learning about an area of the farm. Children then have hands-on picking time or complete a craft activity.

Preschool Nature Class, The Watershed Institute

That's right, we're getting muddy. Join Watershed Educator Steph Silva on a soil exploration. Learn the parts of soil as well as name several animals and plants that depend on or help the soil. Classes generally include a lesson on the topic of the day, followed by a hike, art activity, and game.

Ages 3-5. In-person program preregistration and adult attendance required. Dress for the weather.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations received at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a refund, if applicable. Please let us know if you cannot attend; we may be able to offer your space to someone else. "Julia" Supper Club, Hopewell Theater

Virtual Gender Identity and Sexuality Workshop, HiTOPS

Do you hear the young folks in your life talking about concepts that are totally new to you? Do you want to learn more? Join HiTOPS for a virtual Gender Identity and Sexuality workshop that explores current knowledge as well as how we can create affirming homes, schools, workplaces, and communities on May 24th from 7-8:30 pm via zoom.

You'll learn about the world today's youth are navigating in a supportive environment that will welcome your questions. The suggested contribution is $25, though we will happily accept a contribution of any size. Registration is required.

Art Talk: Georgia O'Keeffe: Speaking in Color and Shapes, Pennington Public Library

Georgia O'Keeffe, one of the most important and fascinating artists of the Twentieth Century, has given us astonishing abstract images, radical depictions of giant flowers, dramatic cityscapes, glowing landscapes, and haunting representations of bones against the stark desert sky. This talk will examine how her strikingly inventive works conveyed a spirit of independence, adventure, and passion. Join us to learn why Georgia O'Keeffe and her works have become an indelible part of the mythology and iconography of the American artistic landscape.

Screening of 'Class Dismissed', Princeton Learning Cooperative

"Frustrated with the traditional school system, a family in Los Angeles pulls their two children out of one of the highest-rated schools in the area and takes their education into their own hands. In the quest to better their children’s lives, they must overcome long-standing assumptions about education and face the social ramifications of their bold decision. Class Dismissed will challenge viewers to take a fresh look at what it means to be educated in the 21st century and offer up a new way of thinking about the process of learning."

Following the screening, you're invited to stay for a discussion of the topics raised in the film.
