The Watershed Center Spring rains offer plenty of precipitation! And yet we may be eager for water in the upcoming dry months for our vegetable and flower gardens. Join us for a rain barrel workshop. Rain barrels can be used to capture and reuse rainwater for your gardens. They are also an easy way to control stormwater and help reduce local flooding. In addition to building a rain barrel, participants will be given instructions for installation, care, and appropriate uses for their rain barrels.
The $50 registration fee includes all construction materials. The fee is per barrel, so groups can build one barrel for $50. We will be working at the Watershed Center. This workshop will be done in partnership with the NJDEP Watershed Ambassador Program.
