Kite Day is a perfect time to explore the farm during our spring festival - Saturday, April 30 & Sunday, May 1 - 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Spring on the farm is one of the most beautiful and exciting seasons. Bring your own kite or choose a ready-made kite from the wide selection in the store. Or better yet, make a “guaranteed to fly” kite.
The farm will ring with country music and entertainment all weekend featuring Tookany Creek on Saturday and Chickens N Such on Sunday. For all those hungry kite fliers, we’ll have lots of good country food. Adults can enjoy a visit to our Wine Orchard where Terhune’s own 18 varieties of wine are available for tasting under the 100 year old apple trees.
There will be plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied. The sheep will be shorn on Sunday and the children can take home a piece of real fleece. Join in the fun of old-fashioned games and children’s activities in the barnyard or take a pony ride out in the field. Admission $12 Online/$15 At Gate (age 3 and up). Winery & Farm Store: for weekend entry, admission tickets must be purchased. Purchase online https://terhuneorchards.ticketspice.com/kite-day-2022

The Earth Day theme around the world this year is ‘Invest in Our Planet.’ There will be a great opportunity to do so on May 1st in Montgomery, and the only cost is the time to tidy-up around your home. The 17th Annual Montgomery Earth Day Recycling Fair will be held Sunday, May 1st from 11 AM to 2 PM, rain or shine in Skillman Park.
This year’s fair will once again offer many opportunities to drive up and recycle or donate materials. Residents are invited to drop off metal (e.g. tools, pots & pans, yard furniture), electronics (e.g. printers, computer monitors), paper documents for shredding, and to donate many household items for reuse, all at one convenient location. There will be a collection point for safe disposal of unneeded prescription and over-the counter medicines. (No needles or sharps.) Free tree seedlings and reusable bags will be handed out to all interested participants.
