Hymnsing, Blawenburg Reformed Church

Join us for three one-hour hymnsings in beautiful and historic Blawenburg Reformed Church (1832). Wind up your week or begin your weekend at 5 pm on Fridays March 25, April 1, and April 8. As the sun retires for the day, we will sing seasonally appropriate hymns from the hymnal HYMNS, SONGS & SPIRITUAL SONGS / THE PRESBYTERIAN HYMNAL (1990). Organist Kathleen Connolly will lead singing from the church's 1973 Gress-Miles pipe organ. We hope you will experience peace and beauty in the words and music of hymnists over the ages.

Cabernet Cabaret 10th Anniversary Extravaganza, Arts Council of Princeton

The Arts Council of Princeton presents the Cabernet Cabaret 10th Anniversary Extravaganza! “Cab Cab” is a beloved tradition: a cabernet-infused evening of live music filled with drama, romance, and comedy! Join us at 7pm for a tapas reception courtesy of Ficus and the performance begins at 8pm. Tickets for Cabernet Cabaret include the tapas reception, one wine ticket, and the live performance.

This event is held as part of April ARTS, a month-long celebration of art, culture, and the Princeton community held in partnership with Princeton University.

Flashlight Egg Hunt, The Watershed Institute

Join us after dark for the most egg-citing egg hunt ever. Bring your flashlight and search the field for over 1,000 real colored eggs. Arrive at 7:30 p.m. for photos with the bunny, then head out to the field at 8:00 p.m. for the start of the hunt. Bring a flashlight and a basket or bag for your eggs. And don't forget your boots, it's bound to be muddy! Ages 4 and up, preregistration, and adult attendance required. Please see our in person program policies before registering.

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "My Favorite Things," "Do Re Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.
