Free Backyard Composting Webinar, The Watershed

Wednesday April 20, 2022
6:00 PM

Join the Watershed Institute and Priscilla Ellen Hayes, who runs an educational program in Robbinsville, for a conversation about home composting on Wednesday, April 20 from 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. Click here to register.

Composting is a simple way for people to improve soil health and control water in their own yards. Soils amended with compost absorb excess water and help reduce the amount of polluted stormwater running into our local streams. Compost will also make your plants and the rest of your landscape healthier. Priscilla will explain how to compost vegetables, fruit, and other organic materials from your kitchen, thereby diverting this waste from local landfills. She will share her favorite compost recipes, discuss how to choose or build your own composter, and answer questions. If you have never composted, are thinking about it, or have some experience with composting, this workshop will be a great place to learn more.

Contact Pri Oliveira at poliveira@thewatershed.org with any questions about the event.
