Music Therapy and Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mercer County Library
Music is one pathway for people to engage in the world around them. Guided by research in neuroscience, social-emotional development, disabilities studies, music therapy, and the interests of the people they serve, music therapists work to find the best way to leverage the elements of music (melody, harmony, beat, rhythm, and timbre) to create access points into music-making. Presented by Carol Ann Blank, who has over 25 years of clinical experience in providing music therapy across the lifespan to individuals and groups. Register to hopeprogs@mcl.org for link to program.
