FYI Seminar: Exploring Senior Housing - Basics, Services, Costs, PSRC

There are many terms that describe the various types of senior housing, which can be confusing. This presentation will highlight five types of senior housing and the services and costs associated with each: independent living, affordable senior housing, continuing care retirement communities (life care retirement community), assisted living and respite, and memory care. The FBI estimates that one of every three women in the United States will be assaulted in their lifetimes. Learn to be more aware of potential danger and how to protect yourself. RAD Women® is a multi-session, activity-based program that includes lectures, safety drills, muscle memory work, and physical defense techniques. This course is designed for every woman regardless of physical fitness and age. Dress in sneakers and comfortable clothing.*No prior experience necessary.

Guided by research in neuroscience, social-emotional development, disabilities studies, music therapy, and the interests of the people they serve, music therapists work to find the best way to leverage the elements of music (melody, harmony, beat, rhythm, and timbre) to create access points into music-making. Presented by Carol Ann Blank, who has over 25 years of clinical experience in providing music therapy across the lifespan to individuals and groups.
