Birding Field Trip,Washington Crossing Audubon Society

Bird Walk at Mount Rose Preserve. Join Washington Crossing Audubon Society and FoHVOS for an expert-led field trip on Saturday, April 16 at 8:00 AM. Sampling the meadows, shrub land, and forest of this 387 acre preserve, we will look for a variety of early spring migrants.

Bunny Chase Spring Celebration, Terhune Orchards

Spring has sprung at Terhune Orchards! The farm animals are enjoying spring in the pasture and the bulbs are blooming. Come for a fun event for all young ones and their families. Follow the treasure hunt clues around the farm, discovering the spring! Wonderful for children ages 2-8. At the end of the hunt, guests can choose to do a bunny craft activity and meet the real Terhune bunnies. Have fun on pony rides and in the children’s activity houses.

Hungry? Our Farm Food Tent will be filled with homemade goodies including donuts, pie, cookies, apple cider, soup, chili, salads, hot dogs, and much more. Adults can visit the Terhune Orchards Vineyard and Winery to sample our award-winning wines made from grapes grown right here on the farm. A fun event for all ages! Celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of our spring season on the farm.

Spring at Stony Brook Walking Tour, Historical Society of Princeton

This part-lecture, part-2 mile hike explores the lives of the early settlers and the community they established, while following a portion of the trail George Washington took from Trenton to the Princeton Battlefield. Stops include the Stony Brook Meeting House and Burial Ground, walking a portion of the "hidden" back road into Princeton, and a view of the Battlefield.

Eel & Fish Feedings, The Watershed Institute

Join Watershed Fellow Kate Hode as she feeds the resident American eels and sunfish, including bluegills, pumpkin seed, and large-mouth bass. During a free 30-minute presentation, visitors will learn about the history, life cycles, and traits of these special critters, as well as some steps we can take to help preserve their habitats. The animals reside in a large tank that is on display in Discovery Hall inside of the Watershed Center.

For ages 2 and older. No registration is needed for this in-person, free activity.

The Sound of Music, Music Mountain Theater

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "My Favorite Things," "Do Re Mi," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.

No Name Dance, Central Jersey Dance Society

Central Jersey Dance Society presents our No Name Dance: 7:00pm-8:00pm: Country 2-Step lesson (beginner/intermediate) taught by our talented instructor Alan Saperstein. 8:00pm-11:00pm: Open dancing to a great playlist of California Mix, Swing, Hustle and Latin dance music with Alan Saperstein as DJ, also.
