Is Our Water Safe to Drink - Author Discussion - The Watershed

The Watershed Institute's Executive Director Jim Waltman and Seth Siegel, author of Troubled Water: What's Wrong with What We Drink, will have a fireside chat about the health of New Jersey's waterways and the safety of our drinking water. The vast majority of the waterways in New Jersey do not yet meet the standards of the Clean Water Act, even as we approach its 50th anniversary. Concerns about harmful chemicals in our drinking water are on the rise. Just recently state officials announced that dozens of New Jersey water systems that serve 500,000 residents exceeded new standards announced last year for PFAS, a family of chemicals linked to cancer.
