n honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Friends of Princeton Open Space is hosting A Day of Service in Nature. On Monday, January 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., help continue the restoration of the lakeshore at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve, located at 57 Mountain Avenue. Volunteers will work under the guidance of Natural Resources and Stewardship Director Anna Corichi to remove invasive plants and install deer-exclusion caging around native tree and shrub saplings.
All ages are welcome; children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. In addition to pre-registering here, please complete a Volunteer Application and Waiver (simply add "MLK DAY" to the Other Information section) Email info@fopos.org with any questions.

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This free event will include a bagel and coffee breakfast, canned foods drive, and family-friendly art-making including lawn sign painting and Emblem Making and Protest History with the Historical Society of Princeton. The 4th annual MLK Day of Service has been adapted to adhere to COVID safety guidelines. West Windsor Arts is partnering with the African American Parent Support Group (AAPSG) and the WW-P youth chapter of the NAACP to create a "day on, not a day off." Our goal is follow the example set by Dr. King to contribute positively to our community through our service.

Diverse faith leaders from a wide range of traditions will co-lead the multifaith worship service.
