High School Placement/Scholarship Test Dates, Villa Victoria Academy

High School Placement Test (HSPT)/Scholarship Test for incoming freshmen will be held in-person. Cost is $40. Pre-registration is required for the Scholarship Test. Email cwhite@villavictoria.org or call 609-882-1700 ext. 2 for more information or to register.

West Windsor Community Farmers Market

Opening Day of the West Windsor Community Farmers Market’s eighteenth year begins Saturday, May 1. To keep everyone safe and distanced, the entrance to the market has changed to 877 Alexander Road through the upper Vaughn Lot. The Market will run each and every Saturday, rain or shine from 9am-1pm until Thanksgiving featuring seventeen farms and twenty artisan food makers and a knife sharpener, all from within fifty-miles of West Windsor. 

Joining the roster this year are three farms: Moonshot Farms, Snapping Turtle Farm, and SpiceBush Farm along with Catalina Empanadas, Pure Indian Foods, River Horse Brewery, Sourland Mountain Spirits, Tea-For-All. Look for more organic produce, East Asian vegetables, beer, local spirits, and grass-fed ghee. Mask wearing continues to be required by all, and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout.

Cannon Firing Demonstration, Washington Crossing State Park

Lamb’s Artillery Company (Revolutionary War reenactment group) will be conducting Artillery demonstrations from 12:00 Noon. to 4:00 P.M. in the field behind the Visitor Center Museum at Washington Crossing State Park, Titusville, New Jersey, on Saturday, November 6th. The cannon firing demonstrations will be held at 12:00, 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30. This event is co-sponsored by The Swan Historical Foundation Inc.

The Visitor Center Museum can be reached from I-95 by taking the Trenton/Lambertville Exit (this is the first exit in N.J. heading north and the last exit heading south). Head north on Route 29 for 2 ½ miles and turn right at the first traffic light. Park Entrance will be on your left in a ½ mile. Enter the park and follow the signs to the Visitor Center Museum.
