Butterfly House Tours, The Watershed Institute

Join us for a guided tour of The Kate Gorrie Butterfly House to view and learn about local butterfly species. If time and weather allow, we will try catching wild butterflies in the field. Cameras welcome. Butterfly House Tours are held weekly on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-11 p.m.through the summer. Advance registration is required.

The Kate Gorrie Butterfly House is handicap-accessible, free, and open daily from dawn until dusk (mid-June through mid-September) except during a scheduled program or tour.

Happy Hour at the Mercer Park Boathouse

Landmark Catering and the Mercer County Park Commission will be holding Happy Hours at the Boathouse on Thursdays, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Join us for specialty food & drink prices, live music, pontoon boat tours for $4 (weather permitting, no alcoholic drinks allowed on the boat) and views of Mercer Lake from the grounds. Food and drinks are CASH ONLY.

The Boathouse at Mercer Lake is located at 334 South Post Road, West Windsor, NJ 08550. Seating in the Boathouse and throughout the grounds will be given on a first-come, first served basis. Happy Hour will end on Thursday, Sept. 2 for the season.

'Call Me Athena – Girl from Detroit’ Book Launch Party, Arts Council of Princeton

You’re invited to join the Arts Council of Princeton and Labyrinth Books for a Launch Party for Colby Cedar Smith’s Call Me Athena: Girl from Detroit, the novel in verse debut from the Hopewell-based author and ACP creative writing instructor. Summer Nights Series: RAYA and the LAST DRAGON

Our Summer Nights Series heats up with a viewing of RAYA and the LAST DRAGON outdoors in our beautiful courtyard. Family activities begin at 6:30pm; movie begins at approximately 8:15pm.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket. All of our courtyard programming is free and open to everyone. In the event of rain, events will be rescheduled.

Birdwatching for Beginners, Mercer County Park & Hopewell Library

Mercer County Park Commission's naturalist will help you develop the basic skills and knowledge essential for becoming a great birdwatcher by starting with common species easily found in your own neighborhood.
