Kelsey Theatre's Kelsey Forward Initiative is presenting "Ordinary Days" July 9-10 and July 16-17 at Mercer County Community College (MCCC). All shows start at 7 p.m. Due to the possibility of extreme warm temperatures, "Ordinary Days" will be performed indoors at Kelsey Theatre, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
"Ordinary Days" is a sung-through musical, in which the entire story is told through songs. Music and lyrics are by American composer Adam Gwon. Premiered at Pennsylvania Centre Stage in Summer 2008, the show includes 21 dynamic and memorable songs and follows the lives of four New Yorkers: Claire, Jason, Warren, and Deb. They explore how their ordinary lives connect in the most amazing ways while they search for meaning and fulfillment. Equal parts humor and poignancy bring these distinct, yet intertwined, stories to life. Originally set several years after 9/11, the themes of connection and resilience are still incredibly relevant in 2021.
Tickets are $10 general admission, with socially distanced seating and in accordance with CDC and state guidelines. Masks will be required for all audience members. Free parking is available next to the theater. Tickets may be purchased at www.kelseytheatre.org or by calling the Kelsey Theatre Box Office at (609) 570-3333. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.
