West Windsor Community Farmers Market

Opening Day of the West Windsor Community Farmers Market’s eighteenth year begins Saturday, May 1. To keep everyone safe and distanced, the entrance to the market has changed to 877 Alexander Road through the upper Vaughn Lot. The Market will run each and every Saturday, rain or shine from 9am-1pm until Thanksgiving featuring seventeen farms and twenty artisan food makers and a knife sharpener, all from within fifty-miles of West Windsor. 

Joining the roster this year are three farms: Moonshot Farms, Snapping Turtle Farm, and SpiceBush Farm along with Catalina Empanadas, Pure Indian Foods, River Horse Brewery, Sourland Mountain Spirits, Tea-For-All. Look for more organic produce, East Asian vegetables, beer, local spirits, and grass-fed ghee. Mask wearing continues to be required by all, and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout.

Historic Frenchtown Walking Tour

Join Hunterdon Land Trust and Frenchtown Borough Historian Rick Epstein on Saturday, June 12 at 10 a.m. for a walking tour of this fascinating Delaware River town. You'll learn how Frenchtown got its name; who might've started the Great Fire of 1878; the little girl who made Frenchtown's first direct-dial phone call in 1961; Senator Martin's alligators; the time a building fell on Louie Gelegonya's Ford Falcon; why Mary Tyler Moore spent the night in Frenchtown (but Aaron Burr didn't!), and lots more.

The walking tour is free, but you must register in advance. To do so, simply email dave@hunterdonlandtrust.org. Rain date is Saturday, June 19 at 10 a.m.

Art on the Plaza, Princeton Artist Directory & Princeton Public Library

The library will host the first exhibit by the Princeton Artist Directory (PAD), Saturday, June 12, on Hinds Plaza. ‘Princeton Artist Directory Presents Art on the Plaza’ will take place from 11:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. PAD is a newly formed collective of visual artists, musicians, writers and performance artists from the Princeton community. Rain date is June 13.

Materials relating to the library’s Summer Reading programs for all ages, including sign-up information, will be available during the event. The theme for this year’s programs is “Reading Colors Your World.” "This partnership with the Princeton Artist Directory, which celebrates the colorful world of local artists with an art show on the plaza, is the perfect way to kick off Summer Reading," said Janie Hermann, manager of adult programming at the library. Programs begin June 15.

Summer Arts Fest 2021, Lawrenceville Main Street

Lawrenceville Main Street is celebrating with its biggest, best, and most bodacious arts fest in its history -- behold the Summer Arts Fest 2021, to be held all across downtown Lawrenceville on Saturday, June 12 from noon until 4 p.m. (raindate June 13th 12pm-4pm). 

There will be over 120 artists, crafters, and vendors on board, and they are all ready to meet old customers and new friends alike.

In addition to the vendors, the local restaurants will have meals for sale, and food trucks will be on-site as well. There will be musical acts, the tricky tray, and the Lawrence Fire Company and Lawrence Police will be there for meet and greets and will also have their fire trucks and police cars on-site for children to enjoy.

Old Mill Hill Society Annual Garden Tour

Mill Hill, a historic neighborhood in Trenton, announces its 30th Annual Garden Tour, taking place on June 12th from 12-5 pm, rain or shine. The tour is run and organized by the Old Mill Hill Society and the residents of the Mill Hill community.

The neighborhood, composed primarily of 19th century row houses, welcomes guests in person to experience this memorable self-guided walking tour. Thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces combine nature and city living while adding residents’ own style. In past years hundreds of guests from throughout the region have attended. Guests can expect to tour approximately 15 gardens. The annual Garden Tour and Holiday House Tour celebrate the vibrant Mill Hill community and raise funds to support historic preservation in the neighborhood.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at trentonmillhill.org/events, where there is also information on parking and transit.
