The Romantics , MCCC - Two Showtimes

Saturday June 5, 2021
2:00 PM

The Romantics is an immersive experience, touring the scenic grounds of the West Windsor Campus of Mercer County Community College. As you make your way on foot through the campus, you will come across dances, poetry and theatrical scenes. During this immersive experience, as you are walking the grounds, you will also be taught the techniques of shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere”) a communing with nature that is, at once, relaxing and invigorating.

Feel free to bring lawn chairs or a walker should you like to sit during the short dances, poetry, and theatrical scenes. Or you may feel free to stand the entire time. The performance crosses many terrains: over grass, up and down small hills with some walking on gravel or concrete, please wear appropriate footwear.

On Friday night at 4 PM, there will be a performance for people with mobility issues. If you do not feel comfortable walking, you can remain seated the entire time. Audience members must wear masks during the entire performance and we ask that you maintain social distance for Covid prevention.

This performance is limited to 60 people. There is a 10 minute intermission between the two acts. The performance is two hours including the 10 minute intermission. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students. The Programme will be available online.
