The Mercer County Improvement Authority is sponsoring a household hazardous waste collection and electronics recycling event on Saturday, June 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Mercer County residents can bring materials to the Dempster Fire School located at 350 Lawrence Station Road in Lawrence Township.

Opening Day of the West Windsor Community Farmers Market’s eighteenth year begins Saturday, May 1. To keep everyone safe and distanced, the entrance to the market has changed to 877 Alexander Road through the upper Vaughn Lot. The Market will run each and every Saturday, rain or shine from 9am-1pm until Thanksgiving featuring seventeen farms and twenty artisan food makers and a knife sharpener, all from within fifty-miles of West Windsor.
Joining the roster this year are three farms: Moonshot Farms, Snapping Turtle Farm, and SpiceBush Farm along with Catalina Empanadas, Pure Indian Foods, River Horse Brewery, Sourland Mountain Spirits, Tea-For-All. Look for more organic produce, East Asian vegetables, beer, local spirits, and grass-fed ghee. Mask wearing continues to be required by all, and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout.

Volunteer to come out for the morning and undertake seasonal maintenance on park trails (Trimming, brushing, cleanup, invasive species removal, etc.). This event is being coordinated with the American Hiking Society's National Trails Day® event. Bring a pair of work gloves and any vegetation cutting tools you might have such as lopping shears, hand snips, bow saw, etc. We will have some tools onsite to lend. Advanced registration required. We will waive the park entrance fee for any volunteers. Free. Adults

Howell Farm's two teams play by 19th-century Town Ball rules, and invite visitors of all ages to step up to the plate as "Striker" and face off against the "Thrower." But be careful of the Referee, who sits in a chair on the field and charges fines of up to 5 cents for breaking the rules!
11:00 a.m. – Watch the Flemington Neshanocks face off against the Elizabeth Resolutes in a historic baseball club match
1:30 p.m. – Join Howell Farm's own Hogs and Bulls for a public game on the farmhouse lawn
