Meeting Method: ‘Socially Distanced’ & ‘Masked’ In-Person Gathering

Are you eager to expand your knowledge of educational, cultural and community issues? At our monthly Friday with Friends, ‘Socially Distanced’ & ‘Masked’ In-Person Gatherings, you will meet and hear acclaimed speakers from business, political, civic, and educational circles.

The COVID19 Restrictions and Precautions will apply. Each person is required to bring her own food and drink, wear a mask, and practice social distancing. Feel free to bring your own chair. It is held on every SECOND FRIDAY of each month unless there is a holiday conflict.

Getting Past an Unrealistic Body Image, Penn Medicine (Virtual)

It can take a toll on women and men any time of year, but as bathing suit season fast approaches dissatisfaction with your body can become more intense. While there are health-based things you can do to build a better body, harboring an unrealistic body image is bad for both your physical and mental health. Join Heather Bainbridge, EdM, MA, RDN, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with Princeton Medical Center, for this informative session to gain a better understanding of body image, how to help yourself and others improve perspectives on body image, and how to increase acceptance of body size rather than focus on attaining "the perfect body."

The Lion King Jr - In Person, Princeton Friends School

Students at Princeton Friends School – like kids everywhere – have had quite an unusual school year. Luckily for this group, a year that was completely in-person with classes largely outdoors (and with zero COVID cases!) will be capped off with two weekends and seven total performances of The Lion King Jr., all to be held outdoors on the school’s playground.

Performances are scheduled to take place on May 13 and 14 at 6:30 p.m., May 15 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., May 21 at 6:30 p.m. and May 22 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, May 20 is being held as a potential rain date if needed. Tickets are available to the community at https://www.pegasustheatrenj.org/ with a streaming option for those who can’t make it in person. This year, we will honor New School for Music Study faculty member, Marvin Blickenstaff, and his 60-year legacy of excellence in teaching. Proceeds from this evening will benefit all divisions of The Frances Clark Center in providing the highest quality resources for piano teachers and students around the world.
