On November 12 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. you’ll experience Dr. Elisabeth Kloner’s stories about the thirteen acres of East Amwell land, in her family for a century, which she recently donated to D&R Greenway for permanent preservation. Also on November 12, Otto Zizak, farm-to-table restaurateur, will share his vision of a sustainable lifestyle and his farm-to-table restaurant ‘ottoburger’, opened in October at 21 Broad Street in the town of Hopewell.

Artist Talk: Vik Muniz, Princeton University Art Museum

Photographer Vik Muniz is best known for his recreations of seminal artworks in history using everyday materials, from images torn from magazines to junk to powdered pigments. Muniz will discuss his career as well as his creative process and his latest production in the face of the pandemic. His ongoing series Postcards from Nowhere will be published in a new book by Aperture in fall 2020. Introduced by Art Museum Director James Steward.

Here are some tips on what to try based on 35 years of experience with all of the above mini-ecosystems in our Sourland Mountain yard. Capturing Movement: This live art-making class is inspired by Edgar Degas's Dancers. Degas painted, drew, and sculpted ballerinas frequently, capturing their energy and movement.

Free registration for the drawing classes: artmuseum.princeton.edu. Each live-streamed class is available online weekly and participants can take part using materials they already have at home.
