In-Person Kayak Nature Tours Of Mercer Lake

Registration Required, click here. In-county Residents: $25 per person Out-of-County Resident: $30 per person

Enjoy a morning of paddling, exploration, and wildlife viewing on Mercer Lake! Participants will kayak along the lake shore and in the coves to encounter basking turtles, feeding songbirds and even carnivorous plants! We provide all of the supplies needed for a morning of kayaking including binoculars and life vests. Basic kayak instruction is provided before the tour. For adults & children 16 years and older.

Wendy Hollender Virtual Botanical Illustration Weekend Workshop

Wendy Hollender returns with a new type of botanical illustration workshop. Inspired by flowers grown in Morven's historic gardens, students will participate in this LIVE two-day Zoom workshop and draw with Wendy - with a twist only for Morven: safe curbside pick-up of flowers to work with from home the day before the workshop. Wendy starts you off on Friday via Zoom and draws along with you. Then on Sunday, she provides personalized critiques of everyone's work. Wendy's past workshops have sold out quickly. Mike's new show, "Once Upon a Magic Show" is created specifically for libraries and is designed to perfectly complement the 2020 Summer Reading theme "Imagine Your Story." The online performance is made up of seven separate episodes so be sure to check back for each installment! The seven performances consist of impossible magic tricks and off the wall comedy all themed around fairy tales.
