Held in collaboration with the African American Cultural Collaborative of Mercer County and the Central Jersey Story Slam, the Arts Council presents a special evening of community-created entertainment in the form of storytelling and poetic open mic!
Each month, we’ll be inviting inspiration from a well-known song title. All are welcome to tell a well-prepared story or perform their poetry, interpreting the theme as broadly as they wish. Performers should present their own work, inspired by May’s theme: “Lean on Me”. The evening will include 45 minutes of poetry followed by 45 minutes of storytelling.
