Dr. Emile DeVito is a dynamic speaker who will talk about saving the unique natural heritage of the pine barrens, a 1.1 million preserve set aside by an act of Congress in 1978. Larger than Yosemite or the Grand Canyon National Park, in 1988 it was also designated an International Biosphere Reserve. Parking close by. Use the Hughes Drive entrance – follow winding drive all the way to the end where it "Ts" at the Student Center (make no turns) – following road signs for the Security. Arm will be up in parking lot – just drive in. Sponsored by the Sierra Club of NJ - Central Group. Students welcome! Free. Small donation for pizza welcome.
