A Colonial Christmas - Winter with Washington's Army, Lawrence Library
On Thursday, December 19th, 2019 at 7:00 pm, the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System will host local historian and historical re-enactor Mike Jesberger, who will discuss the military movements of the Continental Army led by George Washington in the Pennsylvania / New Jersey area in the winter of 1776 during the American Revolution, and also how Christmas was celebrated in the colonial period versus the many differences of how the holiday is celebrated today. The program will be held at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, located at 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville. Registration suggested.
