Holiday Wine Trail Weekend, Terhune's

Join us for holiday festivities at Terhune Orchards! In the wine tasting room, try our award-winning wines and warm up with a cup of our hot mulled wine. Sample our delicious Gift Basket “ingredients”: homemade baked goods, apple butter and more.

During this Holiday Wine Trail Weekend, make a day of visiting New Jersey wineries on the Wine Trail. If you are participating in the Garden State Wine Growers Association Wine Trail weekend, receive a wreath and ornament at the first winery you visit, and then collect an ornament at each winery you visit afterwards. Terhune Orchards has special apple seed ornaments for your collection.

Enjoy fun for the whole family with a stroll around the farm and a visit to our barnyard of animals. While you’re here, get a jump start on your holiday shopping. American Repertory Ballet's Nutcracker, McCarter Theater - Two Performances

American Repertory Ballet brings the beloved classic Nutcracker to the stage with Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, thrilling choreography and a cast of more than 100. A holiday tradition for more than 50 years (1964), American Repertory Ballet’s Nutcracker is one of the longest, continuously running Nutcracker productions in the nation. ARB’s professional company will be joined by select students from Princeton Ballet School to tell the story of a young girl named Clara and how a mysterious gift from her Uncle Drosselmeyer brings about enchanted dreams and fantastical scenes.

OptOutside Event, Friends of Princeton of Open Space

On Friday, November 29, 2019, Friends of Princeton Open Space (FOPOS), a nonprofit devoted to preservation and stewardship of land in Princeton, will host their annual OptOutside event at the Mountain Lakes House in the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve, 57 Mountain Avenue, Princeton.

#OptOutside is a movement to encourage people to spend time in nature rather than in crowded stores Black Friday shopping the day after Thanksgiving. The community is invited to the Mountain Lakes House to enjoy a nature-themed art activity, music, cider and snacks from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Trail maps will be available for walks and hikes before or after the event. All ages are welcome to this free, rain or shine event. While the event is free, attendees are requested to pre-register via Eventbrite.com (search “OptOutside in Princeton”), to help FOPOS plan for attendance numbers.

4th Annual Soul-Filled Ceramics, Arts Council of Princeton

The Arts Council of Princeton's ceramics community is hosting the 4th annual Soul-Filled Ceramics on Friday, November 29, 4-7 pm. After the Palmer Square Tree Lighting, stop by the Arts Council's Taplin Gallery to purchase beautiful handmade mugs by local ceramic artists for $25 each.

With the purchase of a mug, shoppers can enjoy a complimentary cup of hot chocolate or coffee. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Arts Council of Princeton kiln fund and Meals on Wheels of Mercer County. Thank you to refreshment donors The Italian Peoples Bakery, Small World Coffee, Solebury Orchards, and BJ's Wholesale Club. Parking is available in the Spring and Hulfish Street Garages and at metered parking spots along Witherspoon Street and Paul Robeson Place. In this musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge is the definition of a miser. He is rich, but completely stingy with his money, and he exploits the good nature of his employee Bob Cratchit. On Christmas Eve, however, Scrooge is in store for a rude awakening when he is visited by the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley, who informs him that he is going to be visited by three spirits - the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

Fun, fresh and festive, this is the show guaranteed to get the whole family in the holiday spirit.
