Vision String Quartet, Princeton University Concerts - Two Shows

Tuesday November 12, 2019
6:00 PM

On Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 6PM and 9PM, the first of this three-concert series invites audience members to sit on stage at Richardson Auditorium, "up-close" with the Vision String Quartet to experience an hour-long concert. This year's offerings focus on music at its most spontaneous: the artist as improviser. Whether breathing new life into a beloved masterpiece and paying tribute to an overlooked female composer (6PM) or rocking out to their own compositions and arrangements of jazz and pop tunes (9PM), this revolutionary group finds the spontaneity and groove in everything that they play. They will have audiences on the edge of their seat as they—playing standing and from memory—perform as if they are composing on the spot. Every detail of this concert, from stage lighting to seating configuration, is specially curated to foster as direct an experience of the musical work as possible.

Tickets—just $30 general/$10 students—are close to sold out so audiences should act quickly.
