Distinguished Lecture Series, MCCC

The use of artistic expression as a means to bring about social change will be the topic of a lecture at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) as part of the college's Fall 2019 Distinguished Lecture Series. Jive Poetics will deliver his lecture "Insurgent Poetics" on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at noon in the Communications Building, Room CM109 on the college's West Windsor Campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Gotham Princeton Lunch Event, Agricola

For the next Gotham Princeton lunch event on October 22, 2019, our guest speaker will be Dr. Melissa Shapiro, a small animal house call veterinarian in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Dr. Shapiro will be bringing “Piglet”, the Deaf Blind Pink Puppy, and will be speaking on the consequences of double dapple/merle breeding and special needs pets, and how Piglet sets an example to children how to overcome challenges through his “Piglet Mindset”.

The luncheon will be held at Agricola at 11 Witherspoon Street in Princeton from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., on October 22, 2019, and the cost per attendee is $38. Womanspace invites the public to celebrate the launch of the 18th Annual Communities of Light on Tuesday, October 22, from 5:30-7:30 PM at Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Road, Princeton, NJ 08540. This annual event marks National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October).
