The 8-week Mindfulness for Kids programs are tailored to children from 3rd through 5th grade and middle/high school students to allow them to strengthen their ability to be present, learn how to respond rather than react and generate compassion for themselves and others.

David Beverly, judiciary ombudsman and community liaison in Union County, discusses the NJ judiciary guidelines for legal, organizational and personal protocols in the employment and court settings when interacting with a person who identifies as transgender or non-binary.,

In parallel with Princeton University’s incoming Class of 2023, engage in an exploration of the key themes and questions raised in President Christopher Eisgruber’s 2019 Princeton University Pre-read selection, “Stand Out of Our Light: Freedom and Resistance in the Attention Economy.”

Author James Williams, who worked as a Google strategist for 10 years before pursuing a philosophy Ph.D. at the University of Oxford will discuss how digital technologies, and their many distractions, fragment our attention – individually and as a society – in ways that inhibit our ability to lead purposeful lives and, ultimately, threaten the future of education and democracy.

New Jersey Gay Men's Chorus (NJGMC) Rehearsal - New Members Welcomed

We are always looking for new singers to join our diverse group of LGBTQ community members, friends, supporters and allies. No previous experience necessary. Even if you enjoy singing in the shower, we encourage you to check us out. Just commit to attend rehearsals every Monday evening from September through the beginning of June and have a great time. Hopewell Valley Chorus Opening Rehearsals and Repertoire

The Hopewell Valley Chorus invites interested singers to join them on September 9 and 16, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m for the first two rehearsals of their 60th season, Doors open at 7 p.m. The rehearsals are open without charge to all interested members, and provide a perfect opportunity to meet Artistic Director Heather Mitchell and fellow singers. Dr. Mitchell will introduce the holiday concert repertoire including Benjamin Britten's "Ceremony of Carols" and "Five Hebrew Love Songs," by Eric Whitacre.

While new baritones and basses are especially sought this season, there are openings in all sections, and auditions are not required. Rehearsals take place at Hopewell Valley Central High School, 259 Pennington-Titusville Road, Pennington, NJ. Dues are $50/season. For further information, please browse the chorus' website or email
