Birdwatching, the D&R Canal Watch

A birdwatching walk along the D&R Canal towpath will be held Sunday, June 2, sponsored by the D&R Canal Watch. The free walk will be conducted by Barbara and George Dawson, who will point out the many songbirds that populate the canal park as well as interesting plants.

Meet 8 a.m. at the historic Van Wickle House at the foot of DeMott Lane off Easton Avenue in Franklin Township. The address is 1289 Easton Ave., Somerset. Bring binoculars and drinking water. For further information, contact the Dawsons at 732-249-2670 or barbaradawsonwriter@yahoo.com.
