Roxey Ballet Presents Cinderella

Roxey Ballet will revive its full-length ballet,"Cinderella", for its "Classic Stories" concert. One of the most loved stories of all time comes to vibrant life through Mark Roxey's imaginative choreography and the lush score by Prokofiev. Enjoy the story of the stepsisters' comic antics, some fairy dust, a handsome prince, and an ill-treated servant girl who, against all odds, finds true love. Sets, costumes, and lighting are masterfully combined in a visually stunning presentation of this favorite fairy tale. This production promises to be a shining example of the magic of dance at Roxey Ballet.

Trail-to-Table Walk, D&R Greenway Land Trust

D&R Greenway Land Trust invites the public to its second Trail-to-Table Walk, celebrating the land trust’s 30th year of preservation, Sunday, May 19 from 3 to 5 p.m. This guided walk will be paired with a meal at Nutts on the Canal, Lambertville. Eat there any time between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.; say “D&R Greenway”, and the restaurant will donate 10% of your tab to the Land Trust’s preservation and stewardship mission. It is not necessary to participate in walk to support D&R Greenway with McNutts meal at any time that day. CEO/President Linda Mead and select D&R Greenway Staff and volunteers will be eating at McNutts immediately after guided walk. Public encouraged to join them. While walk is free, meal is at one’s own cost.

This free walk for all ages takes place at Dry Run Creek Preserve in West Amwell. Register by phone (609) 924-4646 or use volunteer@drgreenway.org. Event will be held in sun or light rain. Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur’s quest to find the Holy Grail. Inspired by the classic comedy film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the musical also diverts a bit from more traditional versions of the legend. Throughout the show, Arthur, traveling with his servant Patsy, recruits several knights to accompany him on his quest. Besides the rabbits and farting Frenchman, they meet such characters as the Lady of the Lake, Prince Herbert, Tim the Enchanter, Not Dead Fred, the Black Knight, and the Knights who say Ni.
