New Jersey Land Conservation Rally is a one-day educational conference about conserving New Jersey's open space and farmland. The event consists of 27 training workshops and 4 roundtable discussions, typically 75 minutes long. This year's theme is "Conservation Innovations in a Changing World." Sourland Conservancy Stewardship Coordinator, Carolyn Klaube, will copresent a worshop titled "Bringing Back the American Chestnut" with Mike Aucott of the American Chestnut Foundation. Carolyn's talk will focus on the Foraging Forest Project in Hopewell Borough Park. From first discoveries to lasting skills, Stuart's Early Childhood Program provides girls and boys with a joyful initial classroom experience and a solid foundation for the future. Caring classroom teachers–experts in childhood development–integrate reading, writing, math, science, and art with visits from specialists in music, religion, Spanish, technology, and creative movement. The Early Childhood Program at Stuart comprises co-ed preschool classes for ages 2, 3 and 4-year olds with flexibility to attend half- or full-day and 3, 4 or 5 days per week. The Mission’s warehouse is transformed into a magical setting featuring an 18-hole miniature golf course. The 12th Annual Princeton Jazz Festival kicks off on Friday April 12th showcasing area Middle School Band Students. Students from 10 area middle schools will have the opportunity to attend clinics with Frank Sinatra tribute star Brian Duprey, perform at the festival and be adjudicated by top jazz performers and educators. All participating bands also attend a performance featuring Mr Duprey and the PHS Studio Band.
