Chinese New Year Event, Princeton Public Library

Join the Princeton High School Mandarin classes and the school's Chinese Club on February 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, as they host a celebration of Chinese New Year for all ages featuring traditional music and instruments, martial arts, calligraphy, painting, dance, origami, games, crafts and more. Co-sponsored by the Princeton Public Library and the Princeton High School Chinese Club.

The public is invited to attend the Hopewell Valley Girl Scouts Annual Open House and Award Ceremony this Saturday, February 2nd at Hopewell Presbyterian Church. The Open House is from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m., immediately followed by the Awards Ceremony. Visitors will have an opportunity to see displays the Scouts have created, and to talk with the girls directly about the impact of their award projects in the community. Brick Farm Market and The Peasant Grill have generously donated a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres for guests to enjoy.

Based on the experiences of Peter Noone, who was just a teenager willing to sacrifice international stardom for the sake of girl he loves, and featuring more than two dozen chart-topping hits from all the best British bands of the era. Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell choreographs and directs.

Playmate Playwrights presents LOVE IS STRANGE, a conglomeration of six original one act live play readings in one evening. You may laugh, cry, or sigh in your seats. The plays are directed by veteran actor and acting instructor, Joey Perillo. This is the group's second staged reading, the first of which played to a sold-out crowd and received big-hearted accolades from the audience.
