Birding Field Trip, Washington Crossing Audubon Society

Join Washington Crossing Audubon Society at 9 AM on Saturday, January 5 for a free, public birding trip led by Brad Merritt at Barnegat Light, located at the North end of Long Island Beach. See unusual avian visitors including the beautiful harlequin duck. Bring lunch and beverage, and dress for the weather. Call Brad at (609) 921-8964 in the evening two days prior to the trip for directions or in case of inclement weather for directions.

Winter Walk, Mountain Lakes Preserve

Join Education Director Jeff Hoagland on a morning walk at the Mountain Lakes Preserve in Princeton to explore the wonders of the natural world in winter. Discover the unique survival strategies of local plants and animals, learn where animals store food and how they survive the season’s relentless chill. Dress warmly; boots are recommended. Presented in partnership with the Friends of Princeton Open Space and co-sponsored by the Washington Crossing Audubon Society.

Family Fun Concert: The Green Planet Band - Hopewell Theater

Kylee Rapp, Tyler Rapp and Anna Rapp formed The Green Planet band when their elementary school was holding a talent show. They decided to play Rock n Roll. They practiced their first song together, Why Do Fools Fall In Love, for 30+ days straight. In May 2016, The Green Planet performed out for the first time at their school talent show. Kylee, Tyler and Anna decided to continue as a band and haven’t stopped since.
