Plein-air Poetry Workshop with Lois Marie Harrod, D&R Greenway Land Trust

D&R Greenway Land Trust is offering a Plein-air Poetry Workshop on Tuesday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Dodge Poet Lois Marie Harrod, the 50th poet to be added to the Scott and Hella McVay Poetry Trail.

The workshop, suitable for all levels, will be held outdoors at D&R Greenway’s St. Michaels Farm Preserve in Hopewell, off Princeton Avenue. Wear closed shoes, long pants, tucked into long socks, hats, long-sleeved shirt. Bring notebook, pen or pencil, water and lunch. Event is free, but rsvp@drgreenway.org.

In the event of rain, an indoor workshop, based on current art at D&R Greenway Land Trust, will take place at One Preservation Place, Princeton 08540. 609-924-4646.

In this special performance, Aida Cuevas, the “Queen of Ranchera Music,” and her illustrious band, Mariachi Juvenil Tecalitlán, pay tribute to the dazzling music of late singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel—Cuevas’s personal mentor and Mexico’s highest-selling recording artist of all time. Performing Gabriel’s biggest hits from her new album Totalmente Juan Gabriel, Cuevas exhibits her stunning vocals on “Te Lo Pido Por Favor,” “Te Sigo Amando,” and “La Diferencia.” In 2018, Cuevas became the first female singer in the mariachi genre to win a Grammy®.
