An old-time barn auction will be held at Howell Living History Farm on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Throughout the day visitors can participate in two types of auctions: a silent auction from 10 a.m. to noon and a live, old-fashioned barn auction from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Items made by the farm’s blacksmiths, restoration carpenters, bakers and sewing guild will be included in the auction. Buyers can also bid on hand and garden tools, books, paintings, sleigh bells, household items and lessons in draft-horse driving and open-hearth cooking. Outside of the auction, there will be sale on the lawn for visitors to shop. Parking and admission are free.

The auction is a fundraiser of the non-profit Friends of Howell Farm. Proceeds support the farm's school and community outreach programs, living history tools and furnishings. Howell Living History Farm is owned by the County of Mercer and maintained by the Mercer County Park Commission. It is located on Valley Road, just off Route 29, in Hopewell Township. Open House, The Lewis School of Princeton

Saturday October 6, 2018
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

At The Lewis School, learning problems are understood, not as disabilities, but as differences: the expression of remarkable and diverse capacities of human thinking and perceptions. The purpose of a Lewis School education is to prepare students, who may struggle with language-based learning issues related to dyslexia, attention deficit and auditory processing, to thrive academically, as they learn to restore the confidence and self-esteem they need to achieve their scholastic and personal best.

We welcome prospective parents and interested professionals to come learn more about The Lewis School during Open House. Held on Saturday mornings at 10:00, each Open House is an opportunity for you to learn of our programs, meet some of the teachers, current parents, and former students, to enjoy a tour of our school.
