MEMS Blood Drive

Montgomery EMS (MEMS) is hosting a Community Blood Drive on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Montgomery EMS squad building on 8 Harlingen Rd. Belle Mead, NJ 08502.

Please join us to help save lives, by giving blood. Donors will receive a coupon for a free single cup of Thomas Sweet Ice Cream. Birding Field Trip, Washington Crossing Audubon Society

"The Brig" offers great viewing access to migrating shore birds, terns, raptors, waterfowl, herons, egrets and the occasional uncommon bird. Open House, Westminster Conservatory

Westminster Conservatory, the community music school of Westminster Choir College of Rider University, will host an open house on Saturday, September 8 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The event will include demonstrations of early childhood classes, a session for the parents of teenagers and opportunities to meet the department chairs.

Established in 1970, Westminster Conservatory offers music instruction at five locations in Princeton, South Brunswick, Lawrenceville, and Yardley, Pa. Music study at Westminster Conservatory offers students of all ages and stages of musicianship the opportunity to achieve musical and personal growth. Faculty members are professional musicians who teach voice, strings, guitar, brass, woodwinds, piano, organ, harp, percussion, theory, musicianship, and composition. All teachers hold advanced degrees or certificates in music. Additionally, Westminster Conservatory offers private instruction, as well as a wide range of classes and performing ensembles to engage every student, regardless of age. Some classes are intended as an introduction to music and require no previous experience, while others are designed to complement private instruction.

There is no audition required to enroll for lessons or classes at Westminster Conservatory, where students range in age from 14 months through senior citizen.

Scholarships and competitive opportunities, family and senior citizen discounts, and financial aid are available. Rain Barrel Workshop, The Watershed Institute

Come learn about water quality in New Jersey, watershed protection and the "river-friendly" actions you can do at home. Participants will be given instructions for installation, care and appropriate uses. At the end of the workshop, you may take your rain barrel home.  $35 for materials
