Preschool Nature Class, The Watershed Institute

Learn about nature while exploring with a Watershed Educator. Each class includes outdoor time, stories and a craft. A parent must stay with any child younger than 4. We go outside every class; come dressed for being in the day's weather.

WHAT:  The Chocolate Meltdown is the premiere event to support HLC. Attendees will enjoy all sorts of decadent chocolate, candy, food, and drinks while taking in the beautiful scenery at the Adventure Aquarium Currents Ballroom and Shark Realm. Come enjoy the open bar, the chocolate fountains, the silent auction, and the 50/50 raffle. Think of it as Trick-Or-Treating for adults.

All proceeds benefit Hope Loves Company. HLC is the only non-profit in the U.S. with the mission of providing educational and emotional support to children and young adults who had or have a loved one battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Lecture on Lichens, Hopewell Train Station

Dr. Natalie Howe will tell us about the lichens that linger, often overlooked, on the tree bark, stones, and soils of the Sourlands. She will describe the small dramas of the lives of the lichens as they manage the algae, mosses, fungi, bacteria and animals that associate with them, pulling in her own stories about the joys and disappointments of her adventures in North American lichenology.
