Everyone is welcome. Admission is free, with a $3 donation suggested.

Opening Reception, Anne Reid ’72 Art Gallery @ PDS

The Anne Reid ’72 Art Gallery at Princeton Day School proudly launches its public gallery shows on September 4 with Evolution of a Concept, an exhibition of work by recent graduates of the School’s highly-renowned architecture program. The works of five alumni –Zach Dudek ’17, Paul Fuschetti ’14, Noah Liao ’17, Marco Pinheiro ’15 and Christina Tian ’17 – reveal the energy and process of their college architecture school experiences.

Their college projects will be on view in the Anne Reid ’72 Art Gallery art gallery from September 4 - October 5, 2018. Opening reception is Thursday, September 13, 12:30-1:00pm. The gallery is free and open to the public.

Prostate Cancer Screening, Princeton Medical Center

Early detection greatly increases your odds of successfully treating prostate cancer. Men 40 to 80 years of age should take advantage of this opportunity to be screened with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing and a digital rectal exam (DRE). African-American men and men with a family history of prostate cancer are particularly at risk. This confidential screening will be performed by a board certified urologist and health care professionals from Penn Medicine Princeton Health and is sponsored by PMC’s Edward & Marie Matthews Center for Cancer Care.

The Hub-Kings, Yankee Doodle Tap Room

The Hub-Kings, an instrumental "Soul-Jazz" trio, will offer listeners instrumental soul -jazz, ranging from standards to their own original, "Hub-City" centric tunes at the Yankee Doodle Tap Room. 

Princeton Born in retro basement bars, to the sounds of spinning vinyl, the Hub Kings conjure a setting where high ball glasses tip to head bopping funk and bossa beats. The band is features the smoky tones of the Hammond organ, whose sound dominated urban centers like New Brunswick and Newark in the 60's and 70's. ‘Newsies The Musical’ , Kelsey Theatre

Inspired by the real life New York City Newsboys Strike of 1899, young Jack Kelly and his band of newsboys are making a meager living selling newspapers on the streets. When publishing mogul Joseph Pulitzer decides to increase the price of the papers, his newsboys are going to feel a pinch they simply cannot afford. They decide to take action by forming a union and going on strike. Add fledgling reporter Katherine Plummer and the boys’ brave stand against injustice lands on the front pages. Hope and change are in the air.

The award-winning PinnWorth Productions presents this blockbuster musical Thursdays, Sept. 6 and 13 at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Sept. 7 and 14 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sept. 8 and 15 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Sept. 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the Thursday and Friday night performances on Sept. 6 and 7.
