Princeton Photo Workshop: Composition-on-Location Philadelphia City Hall

Philadelphia City Hall boasts "the most comprehensive sculptural decoration of any American building". The exterior is covered with "exuberant"sculpture representing the seasons and continents, allegorical figures, heads and masks. We'll begin with a discussion of camera settings, composition and light. We'll shoot around City Hall and Dilworth Park, capturing images of monuments and sculptures. After the class, those who are interested may accompany Jenny up the tower to City Hall's observation deck underneath the statute of William Penn for panoramic views of Philadelphia.

6th Annual Latino Festival of Hightstown & East Windsor

This year the festival will be taking place on Saturday, August 18 from 1-6 PM at Rocky Brook Park located Hightstown, New Jersey. In case of rain, the event will be held at the same location on Saturday, August 25. Please save the date and share the invitation with family and friends! As in previous years, the festival will feature outstanding artists and ensembles representing Latino music and dance from communities across our region and the tri-state area, along with crafts, food sales, and fun activities for children and the entire family.

The 2018 Kelsey Awards

Community theater folks and their fans are in for a treat as Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC’s) Kelsey Theatre presents an evening of entertainment and awards on Saturday, Aug. 18, starting at 7 p.m. “The 2018 Kelsey Awards” will celebrate and recognize the best theatrical productions and performers from Kelsey Theatre’s 2017-18 season. The theater is located on MCCC’s West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. The show, which has been a summer highlight for nine years, will be emceed by popular New Jersey performer Mark Applegate of Trenton, NJ. Veteran performer Tom Bessellieu will receive The 2018 John Shanken-Kaye Lifetime Achievement Award.

Tickets are $18 for all. Tickets may be purchased online at www.KelseyTheatre.net or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333.
