Groundbreaking for Community Garden, Boys & Girls Club of Mercer

Monday April 16, 2018
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

The purpose of the Boys & Girls Club Community Garden is to provide an venue for our Club members to develop an appreciation and knowledge about our ecosystem, have space for outdoor active play, and a space for students to grow vegetables. There are few spaces in Trenton which currently provide such opportunities for area youth.

The outdoor classroom will have a profound impact when it comes to giving children the experience of learning outside, surrounded by plants and trees. The members of the club will be involved in every step of the process from planning on what to grow, harvesting the vegetables and learning how to cook what they have grown.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County's Centre Street Community Center, 212 Centre Street, Trenton, NJ 08611
