Expert Eye: Silver Program, Historical Society of Princeton

Monday March 19, 2018
12:00 PM

Objects have hidden stories. The marks on the base of a piece of silver can indicate its age, maker, and origin. Join Jennifer Pitman, an expert from Rago Arts and Auctions, to explore what we can learn by taking a closer look at silver, and exploring the differences between silver, silver plate and Sheffield plate.

Participants will have the exclusive opportunity to carefully handle items from HSP's collection, including some belonging to Grover Cleveland's family. Guests are also invited to bring their own silver pieces for identification and valuation following the talk (appointments required). Tickets are $5, free for HSP Members. Register online at www.princetonhistory.org. To make an appointment for an appraisal, please call Eve Mandel, Director of Programs and Visitor Services, at 609-921-6748 x102.

"Hear the Harmony", Jersey Harmony Chorus

Monday March 19, 2018
7:15 PM

A cappella singing is alive and exciting! We need your voice! Show off your musical talent and experience the irreplaceable magic of blended voices in 4-part harmony! Come Hear the Harmony and join us on the risers on March 19th at 7:15 pm as we dive intensely into the rehearsal of the songs we will sing at the Region 15 contest in mid-May.

We are a group of fun-loving, hard-working, dedicated women who adore singing. As we sing popular music from past decades to present in the barbershop style, we work toward consistently improving our sound while enjoying the fun and comradery of a closely-knit group of women who love to learn and laugh.

Help us earn that coveted 1st place medal this year! Rehearsals are held every Monday night at 7:15 pm at the Griggstown Reformed Church Recreation Hall at 1065 Canal Road, Princeton, NJ. Contact Carole for more information at JHC.Membership@gmail.com or call or text (732)236-6803.
