How to Buy a Personal Computer - The Gamut from Smartphone to Desktop

In today's world of seemingly ever-changing technology and myriad computer choices, the average user has to ask, "Which computer should I buy? Desktop laptop, tablet, or should I just use my phone?" On Tuesday, May 2, Computer Learning Center instructor and course creator Victor Laurie will address that question when he presents "How to Buy a Personal Computer," the latest in the CLC's "Computer Tips and Tricks" series.

The program, which is presented free of charge as a public service, will be held in the Ewing Senior and Community Center at 999 Lower Ferry Road beginning at 2 p.m. It will be preceded at 1:30 p.m. by "Q's and A's with the CLC Faculty" during which the audience can address specific computer questions to the faculty. Free Concert, MCCC Jazz Band

Music lovers will have both traditional and contemporary options with two free upcoming concerts by Mercer County Community College (MCCC) chorus and jazz students.

The MCCC Chorus will present its spring concert on Tuesday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m., with the MCCC Jazz Band performing on Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. Both performances will take place in Kelsey Theatre on Mercer’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

The MCCC Chorus, directed by Timothy Smith, will present a program entitled “In These Delightful, Pleasant Groves,” which includes a variety of works by composers Gabriel Faure, Henry Purcell, Thomas Weelkes, and more.

Both concerts are open to the public. Kelsey Theatre is wheelchair accessible and free parking is available next to the theater. For more information, contact the Music Department at (609) 570-3735.
