Brown Bag Luncheon and First Friday Film Series, Hopewell Valley Seniors

April 5th will be one of our "Aging in Grace" series programs at The Brown Bag Luncheon at Pennington Presbyterian Church. Two local attorneys, Laura W. Cassavell and Victor J. Medina will focus on Wills, Living Wills and Powers of Attorneys. Bring your sandwich. Beverage and dessert will be provided. Lunch is at 12:30. The program will begin at 1:00. Everyone is welcome.

First Friday Film—BlacKkKlansman (2018) Friday, April 5, 1:30pm, Mercer County Library-Hopewell, 245 Pennington Titusville Road, Pennington. A black detective sets out to infiltrate the Colorado chapter of the Ku Klux Klan with the help of his Jewish colleague. In the midst of the 1970s civil rights movement, they risk their lives to obtain insider information on the violent organization (R, 135 minutes).

Giuseppe Verdi’s AIDA, Boheme Opera NJ

On Friday, April 5 at 8:00pm and Sunday, April 7 at 3:00pm, Boheme Opera NJ will celebrate its 30th Anniversary with a full-staged production of one of opera’s most exotic and well-known masterpieces: Giuseppe Verdi’s AIDA. Taking place in ancient Egypt, this is a powerful story of the fierce love of Radames, captain of the Pharaoh’s guard, for Aida, a princess of Ethiopia and daughter of Egypt’s worst enemy, King Amonasro. Completing a love triangle, the Pharaoh’s daughter, Amneris, covets Radames for herself, causing intense moments of jealousy and bitterness. Famous music, choruses and ballet sequences create a sensational theater experience for audiences. Performances will take place at Kendall Main Stage Theater on the campus of The College of New Jersey, 2000 Pennington Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628.
