Learn about the exciting history that helped to shape our state and nation. Attend our Fall Lecutre series to hear from highly respected historians and authors as they share and discuss their books.
October 17th: Catherine Kerrison "Jefferson's Daughters" "Jefferson's Daughter" shares the story of Thomas Jefferson's three daughters, Martha and Maria by his wife Martha Wayles Jefferson and Harriet by his slave Sally Hemings. Catherine Kerrison discusses the sisters' paths and how the laws and customs of early America limited their options.
Lectures will begin at 6 PM at the Old Barracks Museum, followed by a Q&A and book signing. Admission is free. Light refreshments will be available. Copies of these titles are available for purchase in-store or at www.barracks.org. All proceeds go towards supporting the Old Barracks Museum and its mission.

Opening reception for an exhibition of work by Alia Bensliman on view through December 13. Bensliman is a Tunisian-born contemporary visual artist, and her work reflects a fusion of East and West with a particular focus on North African, Islamic, and Amazigh art.
