Chess Skills Workshop, PSRC

Learn to play the most popular game ever, a game of strategy and problem solving that keeps your mind sharp while fostering social engagement. This workshop will use “Chess x Positive Psychology,” a novel learning model that combines the disciplines of chess and the principles of positive psychology. Not only will you learn a new skill, you’ll be on the road to improved well-being. For beginner to intermediate skill levels. Instructor Larry Li is a college senior at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in biology. He has been playing and enjoying chess for fifteen years and hopes to share the joy and benefits with all of you! Registration required. No fee. Class limit: 12.

Cancer Fundraiser, Teddy's in Cranbury

An evening of community-created entertainment in the form of storytelling and poetic open mic! Interested presenters' names will be selected at random and will have up to 5 minutes to present their story or poetry. Each month, we'll be inviting inspriation from a well-known song title. Artists are invited to interpret the theme as broadly as they wish. Performers should present their own work, inspired by this month's theme: COME TOGETHER.
