Birds & Bagels, Hopewell Borough Park

Get the best of breakfast and birds, before the workday, with the Mercer County Park Commission and Sourland Conservancy. On this special morning, we'll greet the day viewing songbirds in the park prior to school and work! Families are invited to learn how to identify birds by sight and song after a quick breakfast by the playground. Participants will learn about the ongoing habitat restoration initiatives going on in the park. Binoculars, bagels, coffee and juice will be provided.

This free event is limited to 15 participants. Sponsored by the Mercer County Park Commission and Sourland Conservancy in conjunction with Hopewell Valley Municipal Alliance's Hopewell Valley Come Outside and Play! Advance registration required

Meeting of the 55-Plus Club of Princeton

"Is Science Going Off the Rails?" will be the topic of a presentation by Lee Jussim, distinguished professor, former chair, Dept. of Psychology at Rutgers University, at the meeting of 55-Plus at 10:00 a.m., Thursday June 6, at the Jewish Center of Princeton, 435 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free, with a $3 donation suggested. 

Annuual Lunch follows the presentation. Learn more about 55PLUS talks and eat kosher lunch from Lox, Stock and Deli. $22.

Stream Stomp, Washington Crossing State Park

Kids will come to the Nature Center after school to walk one of our streams with collecting equipment in search of a variety of stream organisms. This catch and release event is organized in cooperation with the Hopewell Municipal Alliance. Wear water shoes or sneakers and be prepared to get wet at least to the knees. Free.

CATHY QUARTNER BAILEY, president of Quartner and Associates, LLC, has coached and facilitated workshops for executives from Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial ventures across a broad range of industries. She recently published the book Show Up as Your Best Self: Mindful Leaders, Meditation, & More. Cathy also works as an executive coach in Wharton’s MBA leadership program and has taught at New York University’s Leadership and Human Capital Department.
