Antiques Appraisal, The Mercer County Library - Hickory Corner Branch

Wednesday June 19, 2019
7:00 PM

138 Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor (609) 448-1330 |

John Thompson of Victorian Vanities, an antiques dealer who has been in the business for more than 40 years, will appraise a total of 40 items, one per person to start. (Feel free to bring another item, for a possible second round of appraisal.) Sponsored by the Friends of the Hickory Corner Library.

If you are bringing items for appraisal, please arrive promptly at 7 pm to allow time for tagging and display. Spectators who are not displaying items may arrive at 7:30 pm. Victorian Vanities will not appraise gold jewelry, guns, or Nazi memorabilia; please do not bring these items. The oral appraisal is based on how the piece looks, its condition, whether it is part of a set, what it might sell for in today's antiques market, and several other factors not always immediately apparent at presentation. It is not to be used for insurance or for appraisal that must be done in writing for insurance or estate purposes.
